Indonesian artisan Nell expresses the beauty of the jumputan tie-dye technique. A body of ecru is decorated with square indigo patterns, achieved through a month-long process where the fabric is sewed and bound before being submerged in a vat of dye for a day, emerging later to be stamped by hand. The artisan names the shawl Taman Sari, a water castle in the city of Yogyakarta traditionally used by royalty for bathing.
