Details

Mexico's Aztec Calendar or Sun Stone is an iconic piece of history. Hewn from a slab of basalt, it is carved with glyphs representing the different seasons. In the center of the monument is the glyph of movement, depicting the face of Tonatiuh, the sun god, surrounded by four different square-like shapes that represent eras past. Angel Ortiz crafts this sterling silver link bracelet depicting the ancient symbols. He captures their enigmatic qualities, linking several depictions of the glyph of movement in an impressive bracelet.
