Working with gemstones, artisans from Joias do Rio craft a petite and precious sculpture. The depict the blue morpho butterfly of the Amazon region, one of the largest butterflies in the world. Cool blue sodalite with its intricate white veins forms the wings while the slender body is silvery brass. The elegant creature alights on a base of natural, uncut amethyst.

"Not quite as bright as the photo"
It was smaller than I imagined and the thong was not leather but more like a shoelace. The backing metal was a little rough looking. Its alright and Ill wear it, but its not the stunning piece of jewelry I was expecting.
