Inspired by a 1930 orchestral suite by Heitor Villa-Lobos, Telma Morais depicts images from the lyrics to the toccata movement. A little train filled with cheerful children seems to fly above verdant meadows. Beneath the passenger cars, the Brazilian artist transcribes lines from a poem by Ferreira Gullar.

"The Whimsical Train"

It's gorgeous colors and evening sky invite the viewer into a child's dream. I love it and will hang it in my the room where my grandchildren sleep when they visit us. And, "Yes", I do believe in angels!
