Handcrafted in India, these sterling silver earrings are presented by designer Neeru Goel. They feature cabochon lapis lazuli and faceted pear-shaped citrine, resembling drops of pure sunlight falling from a noonday sky.
Neeru is a self-taught jewelry artisan. Her designs are inspired by the rich heritage of traditional Indian jewelry. In her workshop, she and her assistants handcraft the jewelry molds and handset the gemstones. Neeru eagerly passes her knowledge to any of the artisans in her workshop who wish to master this ancient art.
At any given time Neeru, gives work to other jewelry artisans. Most work full-time and the others, part-time.
The Women's Empowerment badge is awarded to female artisans or artisan groups that are led by women.
My daughter loved these earrings designed by Neeru Goel. She commented, "The earrings have been thoughtfully crafted and are so exquisite to look at! They are versatile for me to wear at various types of events." My first gift purchase on Novika was definitely a hit. Thank you, Neeru, for your skillful craftsmanship and artistic eye. I will return to purchase more gifts from your collection in the future.
