In this relief panel by Costa Rica's Christian Vasquez, a beautiful hummingbird retrieves nectar from a hibiscus flower. Vasquez works with a single piece of pochote wood, hand-carving the duo with intricate detail. Says the artist, "For the majority of my life, I have been surrounded by nature. Due to my Costa Rican identity, the love that I feel for the Costa Rican landscape has inspired me to utilize my talent to translate them into beautiful works of art."

"Awesome piece"
