Rich in Maya Ixil artistry, this scarf comes with a story. "The colors we chose for this scarf are inspired by the sunsets we get to see everyday at home - the colors the clouds begin to take, and how the sun becomes this spectacular feast before it hides," weavers from Cotzal Artisan Cooperative tell us. Working on a backstrap loom, they weave the cotton scarf in shades of claret red, saffron, and champagne hues, amongst others. Deer and corn stalks, traditional Ixil motifs, adorn the extremes of this stylish scarf from Guatemala.
