Details

Influenced by the stylistic art of the Moche people, Walter Jose Acosta crafts an extraordinary huaco sculpture. It features the vivid portrayal of a man with cleft lips, for Acosta follows the Moche tendency to represent all that is naturally aesthetic. The ceramic sculpture is buried in the ground for a few days to achieve a weathered look.

"FIVE ***** for a genuine craftsman"

Top quality replica is every aspect. Two feet away it looks like the 1500 year old origianl. If you do not want to spend 5k -25k then this is the buy. It is all esthetics.

Amazing what this man can do

I have bought as an anniversary gift two beautiful vases from this greatly gifted artist and they were a great success. My husband loves precolombine ceramics and he was delighted to see the quality and beauty of the pieces. For sure I will buy pieces again from this artisan, so happy I bought them!

I received ""Childbirth,"" and the artistry was truly stunning! The detail is exquisite on such a small sculpture. I always prefer sculptures which reveal a lot to touch, and this is one of those. It is rich with emotion.
