Casting a spell of bewilderment upon the viewer, this mask's mysterious design beckons attention. Hand carved from hibiscus wood containing variegated shades of cream, brown, and olive green, Indonesian artist Gusti Ngurah Semarajaya uses a bold red on the mask's enigmatic smile and paints a gothic-style design, analogous to Indonesian tattoos, on one side of the mask. The mask, an original work signed by the artist, comes with a brown keruing wood base for easy display.
