A variety of birds in cornflower blue adorn this handcrafted sky-blue table linen set, consisting of a tablecloth and coordinating napkins. The set is woven on a traditional foot pedal loom of 100% cotton, and bordered with stripes and arrow motifs. Guatemalan artisan Eladio Chiroy is motivated by the desire to keep the weaving traditions of his country alive and well.

Eladio uses a handloom to create his textiles. He was taught by his father at a young age and he recognizes its importance to Guatemalan culture and history. Before he started weaving as a NOVICA artist, he was a school teacher and kept a handloom in his classroom so he could teach any students that were interested in weaving.

"Beautiful, clean design"
Was looking for a simple, cleanly designed tablecloth without a busy pattern and found this. It's such a pretty blue, and I love the rustic woven-in print. This reminds me of the fabric my great grandmother made on her old loom. Thank you for your craft! I'm happy to display this on my antique dining table. (I was also tempted to use this as a very light blanket/throw.)
