Artisan Carved Bird Theme Authentic African Mask, "Victory at Last"
Reaching downward to caress the forehead with its beak, a graceful bird crowns this bearded African mask. Carved by hand, the design arises from the creative imagination of Akoma of West Africa artisans. They name the mask Ajala, a Yoruba word meaning "victory at last."

"Anticipating a response"

This is a surprise Christmas gift for my husband. It is a nice mask. It had a small chip on the upper lip when it arrived but it can easily be covered. It is not an antique so it probably doesnt matter. Otherwise, it is colorful and looks like it will add a lot to my husbands collection.
