Cheerful songbirds flit from branch to branch admiring the blossoms that herald the arrival of spring. Edmundo Contreras paints the composition with vivid clarity on the reverse side of glass panes. Featuring gilded borders, this decorative box is a celebration of Cajamarca art.

"Beautiful and useful"
I collect EdmundContreras's mirrors, but this is the first of his boxes.I ordered it for a special purpose--for me chopstick collection. It sits on my coffee table next in a room decorated by three of his mirrors and his burgundy clock, In a rather eclectic decorating style, it is unusual for visitors to inquire about any single item, but this one is an attention-getter. I like the fact that every visible surface displays a beautiful scene.
