Proudly displayed in my livingroom
I have this precious African drum displayed on the wall on a stand for all to see. I have had many compliments and everyone has been impressed with the craftsmanship and quality of the drum. I am very pleased with the purchase and it was well worth the money that was spent for it.

Wood Djembe Drum from West Africa, "Giraffe Beat"
$314.99The musical traditions of West Africa inspire Salihu Ibrahim in the colorful design of this drum. Its name comes from the Malian language meaning "come together." This is one of the few types of drums played throughout the different West African communities, who tend to restrict the use of musical instruments to their own group. Ibrahim carves the djembe's goblet shape from tweneboa wood and details it with an giraffe walking in the savannah. It features a goatskin drumhead that is played with the hands.
