I call this my Black Turtle Neck artwork, because I think it's something a beatnik would have appreciated back in the late 1950s. Sure, it's "mass produced" by hand. But it has so much symbolism and meaning packed into its simple motif, I don't get tired of looking at it. I love having it on my wall.
I love the verdigris of this mask. It is really well made, and the copper and brass accents are nice. I have placed it in multiple locations in my house, and it looks nice everywhere.
The Inti mask has a contemplative gaze, and displays the beautiful style of ancient Peruvian artists, as well as Sr. Franco's modern skills. I received several positive comments from people seeing the mask the first week I had it hung up.
